9/11 Memorial: Word Cloud, Videos and apps

With the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks  this weekend, I wanted to create something as a tribute to those who lost their lives. I used Tagxedo to create this word cloud. This is just a few names from the more than 3000 lives that were lost on that day.

You can also download the 9/11 Memorial App which provides video footage of the past, present and future of the site.

This app was created by the 9/11 Memorial and Museum as a guide to help understand the events and includes a tour, augmented reality features, images and a timeline.

The 9/11 Memorial: Past, Present and Future

This iPad app includes images and video footage of the site from the past, present and future and helps to provide an insight into the historical significance of the event and site itself.

This mime is very powerful in conveying the mood of that day. I shared this with my students in the past when we did a unit of using Performing Arts to convey a mood and message.
