Microsoft surface helps you experience things in a whole new way

Microsoft is busy working on some amazing new technologies, from Kinect in computing to new touch based gestures which use the whole hand to move things rather than just the finger. From looking at the videos of the new surface technology, it looks like we are getting closer than ever to the vision of computing shown in movies like Minority Report. The technology itself isn't new and you may have experienced it yourself at a science centre or other places. The technology continues to improve and is opening up new possibilities in how we interact with technology. This can be exciting in education.

Get Microsoft Silverlight

Wouldn't it be great to have a device like this in the classroom? Imagine small groups of students working together, interacting with content like never before? Unlike tablet devices like the Ipad, these the surface technologies are more open to encourage student collaboration and teamwork.
