Microsoft may be buying Skype for $8.5 billion

Reuters is reporting that Microsoft may be announcing a deal to buy Skype for $8.5 billion dollars very soon. This would be the largest deal in Microsoft's history if this goes through.

It looks like Microsoft is looking to stay competitive with companies like Google by getting in on the video-conferencing market. Skype is a popular tool for many educators and its recently launched Skype in the classroom has made it easier for classrooms around the world to connect with one another.
