Kinect for Windows SDK coming this spring

Kinect has been a major boost for Microsoft through the Xbox and the technology is opening up the door to new creative possibilities, including those in education. It may not be too long before the technology makes its way into home computing and televisions.

Microsoft will soon be releasing the Kinect for Windows SDK which is " a programming toolkit that will enable researchers and enthusiasts easy access to the capabilities offered by the Microsoft Kinect device connected to computers running Microsoft Windows 7".

It will be amazing to see how the technology is used over the next few years. It will be very exciting to see how it makes its way into classrooms, enabling students to interact with content through whole body movements.
