Google will offer Chrome OS netbooks to students at $20 a month

Google has announced that they will be offering the new Chrome Operating System netbooks to students at $20 per month on a three year contract. The package will include the computer as well as access to Google's operating system and cloud based services such as Google Docs.

This may be an economical solution to many schools since the cost will include warranty and technical support. The problem may be that the computers will rely primarily on internet access in order to work since the operating system is cloud based. On the plus side, the cloud based operating system will provide anytime, anywhere computing to students.
