Say cheese but don't eat it - You're on calorie camera

According to Yahoo News San Antonia Texas has just launched a $2 million dollar program in elementary school lunchrooms where photos will be taken of children's lunch trays before and after eating, with the data being used to calculate calories and nutritional content. The goal is to help curb the problem of obesity.

This is certainly an unexpected use of technology in schools.  I am curious as to whether this pilot project will be extended across  across the country as a way to combat obesity in children.
